The pedicure foot file works with 3M zirconia alumina pads in two grits. Coarse first, then fine, a few strokes. You replace the pad, not the tool.

Rinse brushes, shake them out and let them dry bristles down. Rinse the foot file, replace the pad once it has smoothed.
