Wet or dry: two routines
The bath brush belongs in the shower. With soap or shower gel it cleanses thoroughly, reaches your back with its 45 cm handle and gives a mild exfoliation. The ionic dry brush is used dry, before showering, in long strokes towards the heart. That is more intense and takes three to five minutes. The soap bag in GOTS-certified organic linen lathers solid soap and lets it dry hanging.
Which bristle suits me?
For bath brushes the bristle strength decides: pig bristle (soft) for sensitive skin and the daily shower, horsehair & tampico (medium) as the all-rounder, tampico (firm, vegan) for anyone who likes a vigorous scrub. For the ionic dry brushes, horsehair is the medium strength and the place to start, tampico the firm, vegan version. Both carry fine bronze wires between the bristles, the signature of this brush. We make no claims beyond the skin's surface. More help choosing: FAQ & advice.
Care
Rinse the bath brush after showering, shake it out and let it dry bristles down, ideally hanging from its cord. Do not wash the dry brush; tap it out and store it dry. Wash the soap bag at 40 degrees every few weeks.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I start?
With the bath brush in soft or medium, wet in the shower and with little pressure. If you enjoy the exfoliation, add the ionic dry brush for dry use later.
Bath brush or dry brush?
Both. The bath brush cleanses and massages wet, the dry brush exfoliates dry. If you want only one: the bath brush for the daily shower, the dry brush for a ritual two to three times a week.
Is the vegan version gentler?
No. Tampico is the firmest fibre in the range. Vegan means plant-based here, not softer.
