Animal natural bristles, just like our own hair, are made of keratin. In hairbrushes, boar bristles distribute natural sebum all the way to the ends, providing visible shine.

Hog bristles hold water for luxurious lather in bath brushes, or, in short, firm form, they gently remove stubborn dirt as a utility brush.

Fine horsehair, on the other hand, is perfect for gentle exfoliation and polishing of sensitive skin areas during dry brushing.

Physics, not esotericism: Our ionic cloister brushes for dry brushing utilize the triboelectric effect. The bristle ring contains fine wire made of real bronze (95% copper, 5% tin) instead of oxidizing brass.

During dry friction, the metal gently dissipates static charge, leaving the skin feeling energized.

Combined with horsehair, the dry brush glides smoothly, while the vegan Tampico-bronze blend intensely stimulates circulation.

For the hand loops of our bath and body brushes, we deliberately choose a durable elastane blended fabric.

The dogmatic "100% plastic-free" trend often calls for pure cotton or leather - but these materials wear out when wet, rot or become brittle.

Our minimal, flexible elastane content guarantees that the brush clings securely to the back of the hand, even with slippery, soapy hands. This maximizes application safety and protects the tool from premature wear.

Natural materials interact with moisture. To prevent mold or bristle loss, wooden brushes must never be left in water or in a damp shower.

Shake out thoroughly after use and leave to dry in a well-ventilated place with the bristles facing downwards ("drip-dry").

If you follow these simple care instructions and oil the FSC wood occasionally, you will be rewarded with extremely durable brushes and a beautiful patina that plastic can never achieve.
