FSC®-certified wood

FSC®-certified wood

We use FSC® wood perfectly matched to its respective function, sourced from sustainable European forestry (More about FSC here).

Beechwood is extremely dense and durable – ideal for bath and hand brushes used near water. Hornbeam provides hard, antistatic wooden pins for our paddle brushes to effectively prevent flyaways (frizz).

For beard brushes, we choose exquisite pearwood: it feels warm in the hand, offers a non-slip texture, and absorbs excess beard oil.

Specialty Materials

Specialty Materials

Where the function of our tools requires it, we integrate special materials. An air cushion made of genuine natural rubber in the paddle brush dampens the pressure of the wooden pins and allows for completely tangle-free detangling of the hair.

For the pedicure foot file, we use German-made, replaceable 3M abrasive pads made of zirconium corundum (grit 100/150).

Unlike unhygienic pumice stone, this mineral remains sharp for a long time, is water-resistant, and delivers professional results at home.

Longevity & Care

Longevity & Care

Natural materials interact with moisture. To prevent mold or bristle loss, wooden brushes should never be left in water or in a damp shower.

After use, shake thoroughly and always let it drip-dry with the bristles facing down in a well-ventilated place.

Anyone who follows these simple care instructions and occasionally oils the FSC wood will be rewarded with extremely durable brushes and a beautiful patina that plastic can never achieve.

FAQ

On the contrary: The rounded hornbeam pins are set in a flexible natural rubber air cushion. If a pin encounters a knot, the cushion gently yields. This allows for completely pain-free detangling.

Yes. Unlike cheap plastic brushes, hard hornbeam wood is naturally anti-static. It dissipates frictional energy and makes hair fall more smoothly.

No. Do not run it under a stream of water. The air hole of the natural rubber cushion would fill with water, which could cause mold to grow inside the brush. It is perfect after the shower.

No. For the sticks, we use extremely hard FSC hornbeam (not soft bamboo, which often splinters). They are extremely robust and very durable.
