We use FSC® wood from sustainable European forestry that is perfectly matched to its respective function (More about FSC here).

Beechwood is extremely dense and durable – ideal for bath and hand brushes used near water. Hornbeam provides hard, antistatic wooden pins for our paddle brushes to effectively prevent flyaway hairs (frizz).

For beard brushes, we choose exquisite pearwood: it feels warm in the hand, offers a non-slip feel, and absorbs excess beard oil.

For our vegan care tools, we use Tampico fibers from the agave. What's special about them: This plant fiber is naturally extremely hard and retains its enormous elasticity even when wet.

This makes Tampico the perfect choice for a vigorous, blood circulation-promoting body scrub or as an indestructible vegan craftsman's brush for the toughest dirt.

Additionally, the fiber is completely heat-resistant and builds up ideal tension in styling brushes during blow-drying without melting.

For the hand straps of our bath and body brushes, we deliberately choose a durable elastane-blend fabric.

The dogmatic “100% plastic-free” trend often demands pure cotton or leather – but these materials stretch out when wet, rot, or become brittle.

Our minimal, flexible elastane content ensures that the brush fits snugly against the back of the hand, even with slippery, soapy hands. This maximises safety during use and protects the tool from premature wear.

Natural materials interact with moisture. To prevent mold or bristle loss, wooden brushes should never be left in water or in a damp shower.

After use, shake thoroughly and always let it air dry with the bristles facing downwards ("drip-dry") in a well-ventilated area.

Anyone who follows these simple care instructions and occasionally oils the FSC wood will be rewarded with extremely durable brushes and a beautiful patina that plastic can never achieve.
