Does the handle reach the lower back?

Yes. The curved beechwood handle is angled so that you can reach every spot on your back without dislocating your shoulder. The head is also completely removable.

Does the retaining strap on the brush head stretch when wet?

No. Pure cotton tapes often fray or wear out extremely when wet. We use a fabric with an elastane content. This means you always have full control, even with soapy hands, when you use the detached brush head as a hand brush.

What is the cord on the handle for and how do I dry the brush?

Wooden brushes should never be left in water, as they may swell or develop mold. Thanks to the cotton cord, you can hang the brush hygienically and well-ventilated after shaking it out.

Is Tampico suitable for beginners?

No, tampico is extremely firm. We only recommend this brush to people with robust skin who are explicitly looking for a very hard, highly blood-circulation-boosting exfoliation without animal hair.

Why does the brush initially smell slightly herbaceous/earthy?

Tampico is a pure, largely untreated agave fiber. The natural odor is particularly noticeable when wet but disappears completely after a few uses in the air.

Ich befürchte, dass sich der dritte Härtegrad vermutlich eher für Fakire eignet. Im Zweifel lieber die weiche Variante wählen.
